Our speaker

  • Stephanie was the PRSSA president at ASU before she graduated from Cronkite in 2007
  • When she was at Cronkite, she focused her studies on media relations
  • She noted that what we are going through right now with COVID-19 is what PR people were built for! We’re always prepared to be in crisis mode, with that comes great job security
  • Stephanie started working at an agency but switched to in-house PR for a less cut-throat environment
  • In 2010 she worked in-house at the University of Phoenix, she worked there for five years and explained she learned about empathy during times of uncertainty, and how to play PR defense with the media
  • Stephanie believes in working your network, getting involved in your career, and staying connected because you never know where the next job offer will come from
  • She advises to put your all into your work, and use what you’ve learned at school because it will become vital
  • She also advises to practice writing whenever you can and to make your goal to make a difference through your words
  • Stephanie is excited that the innovation that Taylor Morrison is being forced into now will be maintained in the future
